If additional people leave on their own due to the stress and awful conditions, then that’s addition reduction without having to pay out a package. Doesn’t matter who it is. Anyone can be replaced. Experience and knowledge are meaningless.
I think @X9XQbb5-nku hit the nail on the head. BNYM is intentionally making this last much, much longer than it should to create the kind of atmosphere that will drive people out on their own and save the bank significant amounts in severance money.
