My understanding is that there are no merit increases any more. TT said at a town hall meeting in LR that the only way to get an increase is to promote up or move into a position that will pay more. Good luck!

is this for salaried, hourly, or both?
Couple things, one you are just a number to Windstream and they could give 2 sh--s less.
Has anyone ever inquired about their pay scales and then found someone a level above and/or below and compared the ranges? Look at the major over lap in pay. Ex. Level I range might be 20,000 - 45,000 and level II might be 38,000 - 60,000 with those range you will never make any money unless you move departs and negotiate and or leave the company.
So, if there are no more merit increases then that make salary employees 3 straight years +/- with out an increase. What a kick in the nuts.
One last thing if you die or quit tomorrow your job will be posted by weeks end and they will pay that schmuck even less so it's a win for WIN
The above is all correct. You have to move internally to get a raise we were told the same thing. I have hopped a few times to make 25% more from my past roles. If I want a REAL raise I have to work for it and complete a certification or other resume building.
Tell me what merits Tbags yearly increases. The way he can drive down the stock price like a skydiver? No leadership skills at all. Best statement to prove this, "this is not a prison".
how will you move up if they are doing away with the positions higher than you? Or not back filling openings?
The question that was asked in that town hall was when standard annual merit increases would resume. The response was exactly as stated above.
I know people in some departments that have been with the company for 30 plus years and still not at top rate
If you want a pay increase, find a new job or move up the ladder
I believe it is partially true. In certain departments, you may be capped out. So if you have been in a certain department where the max salary is 35k a year then once you reached that salary, that is all you can reach. The only way you can get paid more is if you leave that department. That may be what he is discussing. If he is attempting to state no more merit increases at all then there will be a lot of people quitting. The reason being is because you have lots of managers working with HR to hold people back. That is true, but a completely different story.
If Tony thinks that he can do this. I will tell you this. If people are wise, then we, as employees, should get together and strike.
