Is it normal not to have received severance nearly two months after being laid off?

Been 30 days for me and I have seen nothing. Release form sent in almost immediately. XESC is on holiday today (Jan 11) - not sure what holiday it is other than screw your employees day. I am betting I will be told this is going through their "quality process" but I tend to think this is John V gaming what he can .... 'get paid as quickly as we can and not pay our bills until as late as possible'. They don't have any quality processes.

I've gotten mine in about 15 days, I was laid off in 2016
It should have arrived within a pay period or two of you returning the release form. I would call to make sure that they received the release.
