There have been layoffs recently in one of their offices in Europe. There could be more in the near future.

Yeah, for those of us in the 30%, you can't work enough hours to cover for everyone else. Capricious requirement/direction changes without adjusting schedule. Bad management at its worst....And then when review time comes, they get the reward for your hard work, and you get a wage cut relative to real wage inflation.
Qcom Employees working hard? Nope, I know the qcom work culture, don’t blame executives, 70% employees are lazy, work 4-5 hours, get paid well with bonuses, you need to work promptly 8 hours a day. You bringing your own death. Expect 6000 lay off. I left last year, but still I know what is going on there
SMs salary plus other compensation alone is more than 100 engineers. Add JT and a few other execs and could pay for 500 engineers.
So what, they (execs) get more for themselves when they cut here and move to India. Do the math, they need to eliminated hundreds more jobs here last year, thousands more this year and next to maintain their own pay.
Shmucks, us not them. We are the losers, work ourselves to death while execs get rich, travel in luxury, vacation, work less hours all while asking us to work harder and ignore the bad news. I believe SM has said it, get the f to work and let him do the worrying.

Sorry to hear this terrible news for those to be impacted and for all to await the death march to the slaughter. Seems like only three years ago last November the first of this type was executed and with the rumors flying that summer. Company is a wreck and a cruel joke.
