Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Just curious of the sears stores that are now selling toys, are they selling pretty good?

Where did your store put them?

Our store put them on 2nd floor of all places.. Very few are on sale and looks like the kids have been playing in them but the volume doesn't seem to be going down at all...

The dumbest idea was to put them upstairs to begin with, when they would have sold better had they been displayed near the Christmas tree section..

Did all stores put them out of sight of the customers or was this corporates idea?

Going to be a lot of markdowns coming after Christmas when had they ran good percentage off sales all along I think they would have sold..

My store has the toys near the Christmas trees, in a one-floor store. Maybe a quarter of them has sold at most, maybe less, but better than some stores that hid them like OP's. Excluding them from most sales didn't help. And of course most people never realized Sears had toys for the first time in years.

Is Eddie actually autistic? He doesn't seem to be very good at the whole "not behaving like a complete sociopath" thing. His blogs and company letters are so out of touch it's like he's from another planet.

In the wake of Toys R Us every other retailer went out the way to make themselves a toy destination, increasing retail space, ad spend, doorbusters, you name it, and Sears. . . didnt. At this point you have to presume HE is run by autistic imbeciles.
