Thread regarding ADP layoffs

Communication at ADP is bad

Communication at ADP has not been good for quite a while now. The rules are constantly changing and the same rules don’t apply to everyone. Case in point this company change in direction. To eliminate home shoring has not been properly communicated from upper mgnt all the way down to the worker bees. I know for a fact all mgmt was made aware of this quite some time tago but many mgrs for some reason have decided not to officially announce to their teams. I would think a major change like this should be communicated to everyone from someone in a very senior role maybe even Carlos himself. This is why we are seeing all these posts here and there is mass confusion about what is happening. It’s all about Communication folks!

Well your manager is misinformed. It was even mentioned by Carlos in a town hall a few years ago that ADP would be phasing out all remote work and the goal is to eventually have all employees co located in offices. He said it’s a goal which means it’s happening over time not overnight. It has already been happening and anyone who says otherwise is either in denial or lying to their employees.

My mgr specifically told me she is not aware of any plan to let go of homeshored eed and that most of her team is homeshored so it's not possible....so either she's completely out of the loop or is a total bullshi$$er

For me, the official information came in November, 2015 that working from home was going out the door. It was in the form of an online full staff meeting that was led by some top ADP executives. It was at that meeting that it was announced that the work from home policy would be discontinued. From that point on, new associates hired on would not be allowed to work from home. I remember being upset because I was a remote worker. However, management said that employees that currently work from home would be allowed to do so "for now". So whichever poster said here that management never announced anything that working from home was going to be discontinued doesn't have their facts straight.

Who finds themselves being mad, angry, irritated or upset with another person's thoughts and opinions. I trust everyone will do what they need to do, and I, the same. I won't be dipping my spoon in anyone's soup bowl, for sure. Who cares what anyone else decides to do? If THEY are let go in office, at home, on the roof or in the basement, rejoice in it keeping your much needed security with ADP. Knowledge is silent and subtle, not boisterous and persuasive. Know what YOU know and let everyone else know what they know. Set the timeclock on your fate and see how long til the 4-year plan manifests for you. What else to do?

About 4 years ago ADP management announced massively they are going to limit and possibly fade out home shored workers. That's when they announced no more than 20 hours a week from home as a "deal" to workers. The writing has been on the wall since then that you need to find your way into an office or else......

ADP HR is not going to be honest with current employees. These REAL policy enforcers protect the company, not the employees. ADP wants you to contentedly keep working until the axe falls on you.

Bottom line. HR is not your friend or a source of reliable information.

EMPLOYED. Still getting paychecks, still working, approved circumstance, HR has no pronouncement of change to status or work arrangement in the near future (within 6 months).

If uncertain your circumstance is covered, ASK HR (the REAL policy enforcers). Posters have no inside knowledge of your status or fate with ADP, especially if they are ON or BENEATH your level (non-leadership). Just saying...Consider the motive of the SOURCE.

There are enough people here to offer a statistical sample. It is absurd to think that many of the 55K employees are going to post here. That is what a statistical sample is all about. And anyway, if so few people read the information here, let alone post as you say, then this site won't affect anything. The current ADP employees reading this here will know that remote work will still be allowed and take no mind to this. If so little people are reading this misguided information, then why get upset over this?

"That is fact, not hearsay".

You have also not provided any proof that ADP is going to continue to allow remote work. Where is your proof to your "fact"?

There aren't enough people reading much less responding on this site to be even close to statistically accurate in a company of 55k ee's. Home shoring is out of vogue. No doubt about that, but there has been no directive at the ADP level to eliminate the practice across the board for existing associates. There are goals to reduce, and each team is working toward those goals over time. That is fact, not hearsay.

To the last person who replied. Fear mongering? Hearsay? What you are saying is also hearsay.

Too many people are in agreement with what is going on at ADP. Therefore, statistically there is a high probability that what is being told is true. Fearmongering? Just the truth. It is indeed scary what is going on.

You know for a fact but haven't heard it from the people you claim to know for a fact were told? I think you're going based off of rumors and hearsay. Happy Fear mongering.
