Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Millennials don’t want to commit to one company

Most Millenials aren't looking for permanent jobs. Everything is a part-time gig for them, and they usually have a couple of gigs at a time. Jobs are a revolving door.

I don't think we have to worry about them showing loyalty to a c-ap company like we did. They see what's happened to their parents. They'll move on when it becomes inconvenient or they get a better offer.

Took this from another thread. @WkJ0yz0-bwmw has a point.

Its got little to do with youngsters not wanting to stay with a company and everything to do with post economic growth capitalism refusing to offer raises, training, sustainable work hours and a career.... you know... a career?

I'm sure today's young people would love to work for an employer which offered both financial and professional progression, but thats all been binned in the pursuit of growth where there actually isn't any.

Its not just DXC, its everywhere that is trying hard to grow.

It's the latest trend and its self destructive.

Being close to retirement myself, it feels strange. When I look around and see how company treats their employee I do not blame them. We may have something to learn from them.
