Thread regarding Barnes & Noble Inc. layoffs

It happened here too. Another manager just resigned.

Either they know something or they really hate their jobs.

My guess is that they're fed up with all the BS.

With no staff, no head cashiers, no receiving managers, lost of maintenance staff, all that extra work falls on the managers, especially the store manager. Plus those impossible membership numbers are impossible to get.

They know what's going on and they are probably just as tired of being bullied, insulted and threatened by the district managers. I would say a lot of store managers are actively looking for other jobs because of the stress this company have put on them. Some how corporate seems to think the failure of this company is the stores managers fault and are passing that down from regional to district to store managers. Failure accumulates at the top and rolls down.
