Though no longer officially a part of Sears Holdings, it looks like the Sears taint has spread to Sears Hometown and Outlets. They're starting to get liquidated en masse now, with the Kandi Mall, Coshocton, Bedford, Haring locations all going into closeout among others. Looks like Eddie isn't even going forward with SHOS much less Sears and Kmart proper.

Our local hometown sears announced its closing just this week, 5 months after it was “abandoned” by the former owner. The former owner sold his delivery truck and they have been unable to deliver any appliances since.
If this is true, Praise the Lord they are closing. They are all whiner mo--ns who think owning a store gives the right to mistreat customers and associates. They aren't sears and should go away!
SHOS is breaching all kinds of contracts and covenants with franchisees if they can't supply them with product. The sooner you break it off with them and Sue them for damages, the better while there's still a pot of money to be had.
I heard there was an owner who had over 12 stores in Texas walk away. SHO is not the business it used to be an their name is tarnished because the public doesn’t understand the difference between SCH and SHO. Owners can’t get product , so how do they stay in business ? It seems that SHO wants owners to liquidate if SHO is not making money in a location. If an owner is struggling, yet the store makes SHO money , it seems that SHO will not let an owner out of their contract, yet the owner with over 12 stores did just that.
Fake news, three new hometowns opened by me in the last 6 months and they’re very busy.
More like Sears doesn't have the resources to continue supplying their stores with product
I've heard the Hometown store in Manistee is closing as well
This isn't Eddie's decision, AFAIK... it's individual franchisees deciding to get out, and SHOS doesn't have enough resources to acquire and continue operating all their stores.
