Safer to work for A as it will be around for the next 20years min.

Not sure if Q will be around 3 years from now. Sad but true

Dont waste your time going to A. You will not be any happier. If Q is bad in mismanagement and promoting wrong ones and wasting away dollars, you will see a whole suite of even more bad things in A - they are downright a company with no ethics and that includes treating you. The very office environment would drive folks nuts. If you care for RSUs only, go for it

Apple picked up both good and bad folks from qcom. Lots of bottom performers joined apple and recently they picked up right folks from here. This is a big game in modem, rf mixed. This becomes a money game.

More qcom folks leave because of poor leadership from upper management.

My offer from A was better than what Q offered even after recent retention hikes. I am in modem systems team and quitting soon to join A. Do your own financial calculations very carefully, include risk and don’t be short sighted.

But money is not the only reason to leave Q. Good luck fellow Qualcommers!

modem people swims in money during AR19. salary hikes between 20-30% for most of them.

Apple may target qcom employees who do not have equities. Several critical engineering org in qcom has no equities since qcom protects only modem business.

Yes but Qualcomm RSU is only good if honored. Remember all RSU were rescinded in layoffs. RSU is worth nothing at company with unstable future. I would prefer smaller amount if RSU from Apple any day of the year.

Qcom modem folks secured enough equities already from multiple retention bonus, retention RSU, and salary increase up to 35%. They get more than apple offers without moving to apple.

Q is giving ppl big raise now. A’s offer is not attractive at all.
