@vsn seriously, where do you think people were getting the parts to service Kenmore appliances? Sears PartsDirect. Oops.

And the company wide liquidation continues. It's over everybody.

Is it seriously going to be 20% instead of 10%?

Are you sure it’s not up to 20% off the entire store with a 2 paragraph list of excluded items at 5 point font. Sears and Kmart love to pull that c-ap. Of and the “up to” is super small in front of the huge 29% off entire store 🙄

Off the bottom of the charts is not a good thing.

Uhm, ok sure. Black Friday is a big shopping day but the week prior to Xmas is bigger. All retail shopping for the year from average consumers is between Black Friday and Xmas. @-hjc do you work in retail? I’m thinking not, these are widely available stats regularly drilled in at every retailer I’ve ever worked at for 40 plus years. Even sears.

As for the sears sales, bought all Dewalt at sears, same prices as lowes/ Home Depot But I got $250 in cash back which I’ve been using weekly to get other presents. Sears killed every other major retailer hands down deal wise and store sales were off the charts.

Not sure why you hang out here, it’s obvious you don’t even work in retail.

@mww - "Good luck getting those appliances serviced when there's no Sears" What an inane statement! Sears isn't the only entity in existence that services appliances.

I've heard a lot of customers say the "Black Friday" deals were not all that great

Too late...

  • Bought a Maytag front-load washer/dryer pair at Lowe's (Kenmore front loaders are made in China by LG, whereas the Maytags are made in USA). Saved $175 based on similar Kenmore models. Oh, free delivery, too. No gimmicks.

  • Bought a 6 HP Shop Vac (yes, the real thing) at Walmart (made in USA, Craftsman wet dry vacs are all made in China/Taiwan). Saved $25 based on a similar Craftsman offering at Sears.

  • Bought a Black and Decker cordless drill and impact driver at Lowe's. Saved $15

based on a similar Craftsman offering at Sears.

  • Bought a few odds and ends from Walmart, Lowe's and Amazon. Stocking stuffers, clothes, tools, kitchen gadgets. They beat Sears in price--full stop--on everything.

I'm surely not the only one who decided that Sears "Black Friday" sale was really lousy. Black Friday has come and gone. Most people have the bulk of their shopping done. From Black Friday onward, it's just people picking up last minute gifts for someone who announced their last minute arrival on Christmas or people who didn't have the cash to do all their shopping all at once on Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend.

That boat/bus/train/plane was missed!
