Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Pushing for severance

Don’t get me wrong, the employees are 100% right asking for a severance fund to be established, but I’m afraid that writing letters to the leadership and formal demands are far from enough. Time is at the essence and I think that we need to speak louder, otherwise we will be the last thing on their mind. What’s even more troubling is that the time frame is limited and this is taking too long. If Sears goes ch7 all of these demands will become impossible to meet. No use milking a dead cow.

Talking severance again? Do what I did and make your own severance by finding a new job. I'm now with a quality employer making twice the money I was making at Sears. The benefits are better too including a generous employee discount. Get out now before they kick you out!

They can still go after ESL and Eddie. Fraud is the secret sauce that makes all that pesky corporate liability protection go away.
