It should be readily apparent to everyone now that there is a Go Forward total liquidation plan even if Eddie acquires the majority of properties in Ch 11. The only difference is whether the total liquidation is done by Eddie or under the bankruptcy trustee. The former just means Eddie gets more money. Everything he does is informed by how much money ends up in his pocket. He will not hesitate for a microsecond to petition to cut bonuses, severances, vacation pay, and other unsecured promised goodies in bankruptcy if he can get away with it as long as his interests are covered in the priority of payments. Everyone thought that he and Cyrus were at odds, but they were colluding all along, and he got an $82M payday out of it. Get out. Now. While you still can. No matter who you are. He will backstab you while shaking you with one hand and a knife in the other.

Just got hired by Costco. I'll miss having a job where everything felt pointless because we barely had any customers, oops I mean members and goofing around all day because our aging inventory barely sold with emptying shelves that never got restocked. Some days we didn't even bring in $2,000.
We know we're bleeding money like mad, but hey, Go Forward! Sears is such a scam. It was fun while it lasted!

It's obvious beyond obviousness at this point. If Eddie cared at all about the future of Sears, he would have paid the vendors instead of stiffing them, and you know, stocked the restrooms with toilet paper and not fired all the building maintenance crews. He has not the slightest interest in running a dying company. Get this straight everyone. You will not have jobs. You will not have insurance because the plans will be cancelled along with the company. You might not have vacation pay or severance. Leave while you still can.

Find a way to backstab him back. Especially if you worked in HE and had any knowledge of any illegal or unethical practices on his part. I’m sure 60 Minutes would love to head down to Miami and shove a microphone in his face.
