Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Happy Christmas from Peter

"transforming our operating model and structure to better align and optimise to support our client base on the digital journey."

Is there anything that DXC puts out there that’s make any sense? I see on LinkedIn DXC posts utter bunkham, oooo let’s state the obvious! Digital this, digital that! Gees, stop it! Your embarrassingly sh--! And even on letters asking for VR they send out this tripe! Mikey, Peter, let me let you into a little secret, your staff, your one true asset are actually quite clever, they see through this sh--, they know what’s going on, they see the greed and the sh-- management that frankly couldn’t run a bath! Their not naive little kids! Constantly these arseholes send out this bull thinking it will justify their actions! Just tell the truth, you want redundancies to either off shore or just inflate a sh-- share price! It’s nothing to do with alignment! Somebody please take these waste bits of skin back to the asylum!

Had to laugh when I viewed the DXC Investors day video.

ML stated, in regards to his management team moving on (being moved on), "We didn't lose anyone we didn't want to ! "

FFS, you appointed them to your management team. You couldn't even get that right !

Says alot really about ML's exec capabilities.

Isn't it about time you moved on and let someone with a bit of vision take the reins ?

Someone who's not just a one trick pony - ie. cut your way to profit

Workforce Redudancy notices from June 2014 talked about alignment. Good job they are not airline pilots. As for optimising, they've gone beyond the optisation point of maximum efficiency for more product at optimum cost. No, they're just going cost crazy to the point of removing effectiveness of people and those winning work and wasting money on failed McKinsey operating models that had to be reversed as they did little to reverse the trend.

Optimisation started in CSC (then DXC) following the 2012 FY13 Global Employee Engagement Program that the independent benchmarking concluded CSC as "poor in comparison with global leading (technology) companies"

The top 3 CSC employee rated issues were:

1) Leadership effectiveness; 2) Employee Development and 3) Organization effectiveness.

It was a daming set of slides, with the only positive being that the global results were unanimous, or what the survery concluded as "uniformity of results indicating a strong corporate culture that lessens any cultural effects for an organisation of this size and overshadows the typical variation observed across cultural / geographical boundaries" Mgmt bull for 'we're all affected by the same ***t at the top!"

Clients will just go out and buy their own 0365 enterprise, SAGE, Sharepoint, CRM to dynamics, power BI, enpoint security and control of mobile devices and IoT; gigabit BT lines, Veeam backups and azure. Who needs DXC? Besides any AI decisions need strong ethical design considerations. Would you trust DXC to do that?

Now its just more of the same in November 2018.
