The typical SEARS member experience

@searscares the only cashier accepting clothing purchases the line doesn't move. The others are empty with employees having fun, and don't take my purchase. This is clearly intentional.

I hope the bankruptcy court sees that. Your management at the Newport Mall in Jersey City is certainly limiting the number of people who can make purchases. Tools cashier is empty with 4 employees. Clothing is a 30 minute line with only 2 cashiers. How absurd.

@1sxn Sales are Job #1? HA! I am a Sears employee. I have been told more than once by store management not to wait on customers because it gets in the way of me doing my tasks. By the way, sales are not part of the metrics.

Yep. This location is a true winner.

A big no to this store . The staff is harsh and they made a mistake to me and not ready to listen . He will give you damn whatever it is.Different staffs speaks different things at the same time and instances.

We ordered tires online and when we showed up for our appointment to have them installed we were rudely told the tires were not in stock and no one could help us or tell us when they would arrive. We asked about a refund and were told they didn't handle refunds. We called the central customer service number when we got home for a refund and the agent we spoke to called the store for us and even she was given the run around. First she was told they had the tires then when she asked them to check she was told they didn't have the tires when she asked for the manager the people on the phone in the store hung up on her if Sears employees can't get treated with respect than there's no reason to believe you will be. We will never shop here again.

bought appliances from this shop, delivery ok. then items were recalled, so i exchanged them within 30 days. and the nightmare begins... calls to the store are never picked up by the right dept, my salesman quit without arranging for my returns. salespeople are pretty useless when you ask for assistance. manager no help either. calling any customer service number leads nowhere. they are prompt to notify you of a purchase but nowhere to be found on a fair return. DO NOT SHOP HERE. Sears will probably go bankrupt soon anyways. try your neighborhood appliance shop. this is not worth your trouble!

I bought a watch for myself, the bracelet has to fit my wrist so the employee told me to pick up the watch after few day she gave me the receipt .. She said they'll call me if it's ready to be pick up.. It's now almost 3 weeks.. I'm tired of eating and calling the Fine Jewelry Department.

If you want to be screamed and yelled at by the "Loss Prevention" staff (whose photo is attached) when you are tying to defend your own rights, then please go ahead and shop at Sears!

I dealt with 3 hours of anger and exhaustion dealing with Nadia was horrible and then dealt with suppose store manager he stuck his middle finger up and then solutes to me so Incase the cameras saw him then cursed me out HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE .........even corporate called the store and the employees kept hanging up the phone .

Listless sales staff... They do not even know where stuff is in the store

The lines are ridiculous

I was just at the Sears in Newport Mall Store # 1044 and was dealing with the most disrespectful and unhelpful employees that I have ever encountered.

poor service and poor treatment by the management of the sears and newport mall jersey city

writing to corporate office help even less, no one bothers to assist you with that problem Sears have created

Cashiers take way too much time with one customer. Creating long lines and unnecessary long wait time. Customers waiting on line were frustrated, few actually left.

The store is well stocked and in order..but You have to wait in line very long because they do not have sufficient staff...its hot as heck upstairs and the Escalators were both out of order

As I was doing that an employee approached me with the most disgusting attitude and told me that the dressing room was closed and would not allow me to explain myself. When I told her "can you please listen to what I am trying to tell you, that you blocked the dressing room with my daughter in it?" She responded "NO, we check our dressing rooms before blocking them" at that point I knew I was dealing with an id--t who was frustrated and hated her job. Along came another employee (much older) and with an attitude while moving the rack said "we check the dressing rooms before blocking them" I just walked away realizing that my satisfaction was that I would walk out of Sears and they would still be Sears employees.....that's punishment enough. Karma's a B. Frustrated Bergdorf Goodman, Nordstrom wanna be employees stuck @Sears not even JC Penny will hire them

Disrespectful staff. Will only ring you out in their own department. Cant find one in the department you're shopping in? You better look harder and harass the one you find otherwise you'll never be able to make your purchase.

Walk in and it feels like I'm in the store by myself. Basically service doesn't exist until you look for someone to help.

Customers service is so bad , they totally don't care about the customers and they always wrong

I’ve been waiting for 20 mins for stay in th line to make a payment! It’s only one registere open ! Can’t believable

This place is the worst. They let bullies in this store and these bullies go around the store harrassing customers. The strange thing is the store associates and manager don’t even care about customers. They just completely ignore the fact that the customers are getting bullied. In fact, they tell you that you shouldn’t argue or talk to these people because they might carry guns and may shoot you. No wonder why Sears is closing so many stores across US.

This place is the worst I use to work here the manger is an a-- hole they are very sneaky they never awnser the phone that’s not even half of it the stock room is not keep up there are mice running around mice traps every where bed bugs in the carpet I had to quit it was so nasty they make the store look nice and are not being truthful

Oh get off your high horse. This is what more than half the members are complaining about on Yelp and Google reviews. Long lines, waiting forever, and a lone member on the floor, that is, when they can be found, while associates are goofing off, surfing the Internet, and generally hiding from members. Sales are Job #1. More important that putting things on shelves, cleaning the bathroom, unloading pallets, "working hard." Go drink some coffee and get back to work.

Believe me it's not intentional and any presence of fun by any associate is sgort lived. Associates and management in any full line stores are working twice as hard to keep their stores afloat. I've been with company for 20 years and haven't been this tired. My apologies if you glanced over and seen a few human beings with a Sears lanyard actually take a moment to smile. Merry Christmas Scrooge.
