Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

Dancing to the beat of the drum

I imagine HR is under a lot of stress and pressure too, and I don't think they're in control of any of the timelines, which are being dictated by senior execs in Eagan and consultants elsewhere. In an ideal world the layoffs would happen all at once so everyone can breathe easy, but unfortunately this is the reality we live in. If there's anyone to blame, Id look to the very top - these are the guys making the agenda and setting the timelines. Every manager below, whether good or bad, is just dancing to the beat of the drum.

@Wnau5t8-ncw said it right. Great post!

I am sorry to hear that. The upcoming layoffs of much of the IT staff in Toronto was also announced today.

Laid off in Eagan today. Worst day of my life. Disgraceful the way management is handling the layoffs
