Reminds me of a fat R2D2 hope it uses HDD not flash. From other post.
I think Fremont has one. How many people rifd for this? $6 an hour lady guesses in video. Fremont guard $15? I rather pay for organic vs mechanic. That's why I shop at the farmers market. No robots allowed. Call me racist but these machines need a wall around them.
The robot stopped working and is protesting for union wages.
Robot just sits there plugged in at NRM, never used. Probably doesn't work too well in ice and snow.
Pretty much sums up the culture everywhere in the company. Follow the party line. Same reason why China has no innovation to speak of. Anybody with an idea that goes contrary to the approved thoughts is dealt with. -500 points to your "social score".
You can thank the director of global trust and security for that debacle. Robots were theoretically supposed to represent a cost savings by replacing security guards. However there is a general consensus that it is a complete waste of money, which could have been better spent elsewhere on replacing old technology. Its all about looking like your secure and checking the boxes - not actually being secure. Common sense is no longer valued in the group and there is no point in voicing objections. Just far easier to do what your told and not think.
I bet it is one of DM's ideas to have these security robots.
First thing I thought was which board member has a family interest in the company that makes the mini me robocop.
As much as I defend some of the marginal decisions by this company, this one has no defense. The last thing I need to worry about is backing up into a stupid roving camera. Someone in upper management must have an interest in the company who makes this piece of junk.
