Thread regarding Mattel Inc. layoffs

FIRE RD

How has this fool not been let go? His value add is zero. Actually, it’s sub-zero given his propensity to spend in excess on non-business driving ballyhoo set only to impress himself while making the rest of our lives and brands a living hell.

He’s out of touch, doesn’t understand basic business or even where he works. You sell toys, boi. Not luxury.

Well, from a shareholder point of view I find him to be incompetent, useless and a killer of the company. We need a new perspective. Obviously his has not worked. Maybe Sorp could work.

Well, from a female point of view I find him “dreamy”🥰 A little bit of eye candy for me whenever I pass him in a hall or wherever.

There is no hope for Mattel. It’s a shadow of its former self. RD is just a another in a long line of smooth talking do nothing so called leaders taking money for talking. I bet he can’t even put together his own presentation. He Is surrounded by smoke blowers vying for a turn at his a$$$.

Hi guys, I'm filled with glee and hope to see there are others who share the same veneration for RD. I want to start a movement/club in honor of RD. It will be called The Order of the Omnipotent D*ckson, and here we will study his teachings in his emails, listen to audio from his presentations, pay respects to a portrait of his remarkable image, possibly sacrifice an animal or two (I'm thinking fish since they have no feelings) and get matching symbolic tattoos. I will post additional information soon. keep RD always in your heart my fellow Dickciples.

Same here, I've even printed out several of the more poignant ones and put them up around my cubicle for motivation. RD is the best.

Well I think he's great and does a wonderful job. His confidence and poise should be admired and revered with joy. I collect and save all his emails about the garage and re-read them when ever I'm feeling blue. I believe in RD.

The story I heard is that he has a similar “golden parachute” severance deal very similar to Margo; it’s too expensive for the company to get rid of him now, so they just put him in on pointless assignments and hope he’ll walk on his own. I don’t know if that’s true, but that had been the popular rumor for a while.

When I realized all execs leave except RD leave, I knew it was time to leave too. He's terrible

A complete train wreck with this guy. The stock performance is enough of an indicator of his track record. Retailer, investors and employees know it. The board obviously has no clue-no surprise. He however seems to get by with no accountability.

Disagree. RD is the type of leader we need: a smart, optimistic visionary who listens to others in order to make informed decisions. He believes that a brand's identify and story need to carry forward into all customer touch points. He is a constant inspriation while challenging us all to think different.

Kudos, RD.
