Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Greed wins

Greed to hit short term numbers wins.over people.over benefits.over long term profits.over common sense. NQ all about the annual numbers. who cares about providing for the people making it happen. Corporate keeps squeezing.he is the company man.running out of happy motivational speeches cause it matters not the company will just s--- you dry no matter our profit margin and NQ finally knows and accepts it.if only we hit the numbers this year maybe benifits and raised might get better - lies and he now knows it.harder to be the cheer-leader when you realize how foolish and greedy corporate and shareholders really are.just make numbers and get your giant executive bonus who cares about the future.

As the original poster indicated, short term profits at the expense of long term goals and employee well being is is sacrificing the future for short term stock dividends and executive bonuses. Follett started its steep decline as soon as MLS changed the focus from customer and employees to stock price and stock dividends.

It’s his job to make the number. It’s all of our jobs, actually. This isn’t a charity. And, benefits did improve this year. You may be miserable, but give credit where credit is due.

Original post is right on the money, not just for FSS but for Follett as a whole. We don't need the grammar police on this board.
