Thread regarding Barnes & Noble Inc. layoffs

Are we in for a bumpy ride after the announced quarter losses

I read a few times in the last couple of days that the company wants to “lower its expenses and turn around store operations”. We all know what that means, right?. While I’m sure that we are in for a lot of shifts and reorganizations, I was wondering does anyone on this board have any concrete info or even rumors about what’s going to happen. Are we in for layoffs, store closures, wage cutting, or maybe all of the mentioned?

Our store is expecting the remaining full-timers to be let go in February.

Store downsizing and most likely another round of layoffs. They can't keep paying the booksellers making over $11 an hour and the health benefits.
