And not one post saying I stayed home .
Ball-less sheep.
Like you really planned on waking out .
Missed opportunity, thread title should've been "You're a turkey if you work Thanksgiving." ;-)
Make whatever decision is best for you. I haven't seen Sears spare a thought for anybody so don't do anything for their benefit.
Tell that to the management giving themselves million dollar bonuses while cutting off pensions and severance pay
Don't burn bridges.
My DM was the biggest Dumba** wonder who he was in bed with to keep his job
they are all fools and should go to jail
What, you don't want to help the "top" executives reach their $1M bonuses while receiving no severance package as you're laid off the day after? How DARE you!
Walk out!!! All associates should walk out!!!!
We're not open on Thanksgiving Day due to state law but if I had to work, I work come in but not worry about being late. Hang out and leave at the end. Most importantly I would be not getting stressed about it. If you must, call in. There is an e coil romaine lettuce breakout right now. I wouldn't no call no show because that's just me.
O.p You have a potty keyboard.
O.k. You have a potty keyboard.
Signed, a Sears Manager... Lololololololol
Well then you as well know your in violation of the id--tic social media policy, and therefore should be terminated immediately by a jury of your feller employees outstanding in your store. Any last words before your shown that beautiful, unforgiving, curb? GTF outta here with that. Upper management has no control over its employees... If it they did sears might have had a chance. You Just want your beloved employees scared for their jobs so people like you can reap off their sales and commissions all the way till the end. A good manager would never ask his or her employee to do something they would not be willing to do, such as, mop a floor in a bathroom. Ahh it's useless...
Civil disobedience - show up for work but just hang around in secluded areas and do the old circle jerk all day
Literally the premise of a Christmas Carol. The callous heartless boss who tells you to work over the holiday because no one loves him anymore.
Sears would earn more respect if they went back to being closed on Thanksgiving Day..
But since this is a do or die season for Sears.. they don’t want to deny all the crowds their chance to shop
But at least we don’t open til 6pm.. jcpenny is starting at 2pm Thursday
A "good employer" would value people and family over greed.
"If you are scheduled to work, you should work, no matter who your employer is. A good employee shows up and takes pride in their work. Those who don’t start posting."
Signed,
A Sears manager
I don't understand. Your employer is giving you the opportunity to make some extra money. take it.
What extra money? The company is just going to cut your hours for the next week so that "extra money" is gone

I don't understand. Your employer is giving you the opportunity to make some extra money. take it. You'll need it. After the holidays as you look for a new job.
Better yet would be to picket outside the stores to drive away customers
