Does this guy think we are all stupid? Unbelievable.
I am thinking - even if some of us manage to survive this storm, is it really worth staying on this sinking ship any longer ?! Absolutely not !
It is very frustrating to waste our time on these calls when all the talking heads are talking the whole time congratulating each other and saying how great they are when so many hard working people are so anxious about their positions. He (P) has a Q&A session where he says a lot of words but says nothing of substance. They claim respect and transparency but deliver the exact opposite. I understand the company needs to be reorganized but the way it is being handled is horrible, irresponsibly, disrespectfully and dishonestly. In June P called layoffs, redundancies, (he wouldn't say the word layoffs), and said they will be swift and quick to avoid anxiety in the departments but it has been teh exact opposite, slow and painful and still not over. We're all adults and don't need executives pulling the smoke and mirrors act on us, we see right through it. It would be better to have no meetings than to insult us with the totally political meetings were so much is said but no information or substance in what they're saying, professional filibusters...... God is in charge ultimately, thank God!
He’s useless and has nothing to say. He did mention “we will present our plan to the CEO and CFO.” It will be a disaster. They should get laughed at but they will probably get away with it considering the CEO and CFO’s negligence
Folks friendly reminder. Mentioning names may get a thread removed and I really don’t want this one to be removed. Add a space in the middle of his name. Regarding the call, pi ot showed once again he’s out of touch. Nobody cares what happened at Synergy. It accomplished nothing to speak about that for 30 mins. He and the other speakers had the audacity to congratulate themselves for that event.
I was on the call as well and it was pathetic. I heard a lot of “atta boys” about synergy being passed around the room, some dumb comment about his time at Disney afterwards and nothing of substance in between. Add to it that the call was at noon eastern, he spent .1 seconds on the question about layoffs, and I just hung up when the audio cut out. It was the best thing I did all day. They are letting go of folks who know the products inside and out. Every day I’m more convinced that the upper level folks have zero clue about the needs of our clients. They claim to be customer focused now but our compliance product on the direct tax side had a terrible year.
Discussing how great the conference you were at was to an all hands meeting that includes people who are waiting to learn if they’ll have to relocate or “be invited to look for a new employer,” then answering the “will there be layoffs” question with weasel words is a page from the Marie Antoinette school of management right there...

And the spin doctoring continues with circular talk and non-answers. He actually started with another statement about being transparent, and then continued to ignore questions and provided no additional details. What a waste of time!

His bragging about the million-plus opportunities to wow clients via support calls is also BS. They eliminated the position of my product's lead support agent next week, who has been supporting it for 17 years. None of the other support agents has a clue about the products and our clients have been totally disgusted with the all-hands-on-all-products "support" approach implemented over the last year or so. It's resume time for this SME.
