Thread regarding Mattel Inc. layoffs

Who’s making these decisions?

Is it true the Good man is now running procurement and contract manufacturing? How can you get a senior job in areas you’ve never been part of who. Did ME decide this all on his own or did the old Mattel boys network do its work again?

Not sure what the powers that be see in the Good Man. My guess is he has some dirt on an executive that is protecting him because the dude is a serious id--t. Project Roulette is some scary sh--. That’s a ticking time bomb with the Good Man’s name all over it.

You’re saying the plans to sell the manufacturing plants are off? Is this real? That’s pretty serious as it was announced with the earnings report, and affects many jobs. And if that doesn’t go ahead, that leaves the question of what else is going to happen to fill that gap.

So who decided to sell off the mfg network, only to have that whole thing overturned since nobody wants to buy an ancient operation reliant on Mattel sales and future ability to pay $1.5B debt to operate? CE being shown the door.... Scapegoat for ME or deserved exit? Who made the whole plan in the first place? What's our plan?

Does leadership think that the Good Man is competent because he's been there for so long? I think that any rational person would see a great deal of failures have him as a common denominator. Or is it that leadership has plans to fail and putting things in that guys hands guarantees that outcome
