Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Talent Development

One of the most important roles of BoD, CEO and senior managers is to develop a deep bench, nurture diverse talent for mutiple and diverse views.

In Intel’s BK reign and especially in TMG and SA’s case it was about purging anyone of talent that didn’t do exactly as he said without question. Anyone with a counter opinion was purged. Now you got a bunch of yes man without their micromanager king.

MM is a great guy but put him with AK and compare that to the Samsung or TSMC for TD and Manifacturing leadership and it is a laughable situation. TMG will fall further unless a real leader can be found.

10nm what a painful situation not likely to change with lack of any real change of leadership, and likely with the turmoil of it 7nm and 5 aren’t getting the focus and leadership they need sp downward spiral will continue, what a FUBAR

I got to belief the product guys got to be talking all the time about what the contingency plan is going to be, can’t continue to milk 14 as the world moves to 7 and 5, what confidence could they have in TMg delivering after the 10nm debacle

DRA at Intel are just publicity stunts to give visibility to the PE candidates favored by politician managers and senior PE, they have nothing to do with technical achievement.

Through multiple reorgs, Intel has commited travesty..a false representation of those who have had better positions and favored by their teams and managers. Engineer veterans who had multiple DRAs, are sidelined in new departments.. cause no one really knows them. Hence, the 0% raises, where all the benefits go to Grade 10 and above to BK.

Unfortunately, I think it is all Intel, not only TMG.

This is a key part of the death spiral of Intel's culture.

No wonder MR felt right at home even coming from Q. The BoD must have given him a horde of sycophant yes men directors just like what he was used to.
