Thread regarding Sears layoffs

If sears has not turned a profit in 11 years how do you believe less store will be profitable

The world is watching as the vultures are praying on Sears assets. The truth of the matter is that history repeats patterns and the real gamble is being dishonest to the associates and leading them to believe that they only need to follow the yellow brick road, which has already been sold to sharitage or ELS. Liquidation is the end result, because there are $650 million in new loan that have to be paid back with a proposed smaller base to collect from.

Now $12 billon in debt

400 stores making $10 million profit

3 years minimum to pay all debt not including other obligations:

Rent

Insurance

Water

Electric

Oh yeah and paying the front line workers.

We all remember trickle down economics.

Right, EDDIE. Lol

That’s a start. Let the bankruptcy court get rid of every person that is in a position to get a bonus at the expense of the retirees and recently let go employees. 🐵🙈🙉🙊🐒

Most support divisions will be cut after Black Friday. IMX, buyers, delivery and logistics, AP/LP, DM's and regional people will be gone or cut. Offshore departments will be eliminated.

They literally need to gut the staffing levels at HE and that is something they seem to not ever be able to do. Do each of the BUs need a President or CFO when there are only 200 store per format left? How many Directors do they need across Inventory, Store Ops, Marketing (ha, there's a joke) or Merchandising? How many store communications staff, how many VP/GMM Merchandising do they need? Even a bankruptcy cannot help them see how much Corporate staffing they do not need. They will never be profitable if that cannot get SG&A costs under the normalized level for the average retailer....and I say under because their sales are far below an average retailer so they should plan SG&A costs accordingly.

Ha ha ha you must be the person that they hire to spike their punch. Not really worth a response, but it is very interesting to see how far the brain washing goes. Next please. Lmao 🤣
