Not much of a layoff if only 2 people so far. Sounds like business as usual.
Was this layoff on Wednesday or Tuesday?

In any "public" company the size of Dell, there will be continuous and rolling layoffs somewhere. Its just a fact of life and the business. There wont be any apparent sense to most of them. The pressure for quarterly stock performance is back, so its likely to get worse.
One of the managers in DCE mentioned there would be some next week. We will see....
