how can you say FP is being driven into the ground with “what the f%#k chuck” at the helm. the old grey hag “retired” (pushed out) and most of the west cost roaches scurried back home ASAP. We’re in a turnaround baby!!

I don't understand the posts about not being enabled or empowered? He was c-suite executive for the past 5 years, and not a shy fellow. However, onward.

Geoff was def the strongest leader of FP in the past ten years. Forward thinker, not enabled to be a free-thinker.

I don't know what happened at FP. But, I've been in his group for 2 separate tours, and it was interesting. His leadership style is a mix of entitlement, arrogance, delegation and fear. I have never seen so many F-bombs dropped in my life and his ability to publicly slag his superiors and subordinates in one speech was truly stunning. Oh, his results were terrible and accountable for nothing.

But, he was great to have a beer with, so I am told. Mattel is much, much better off with his glory days behind him.

While GW wasn't perfect, he's been the best leader at FP since the stockdown era began back in 2013. He was the only one who understood the FP brand. Worst decision RD ever made was to ship out GW and bring JM in. To this day FP continues to be driven into the ground by leaders who still think it's the 90s.

To be fair to GW, the party the day he left FP had a lot less to do with him leaving and was just about how super excited everyone was that JM was joining the team from AG. She was really special. Mattel has truly blessed FP with so many great leaders in the past decade.

I remember when GW walked into FP for the first time looking down his nose at all of us like he was here to save us.

His fist order of business was to hire a personal publicist, personal stylist, personal social media account, started calling himself the FP CEO, hired a bunch of LA yes men, paid a rock star millions to create 6 toys, paid millions for a "dumb"bear (that WE had to fix) and destroyed the culture, share and profit. The biggest party in the last 10 years was the day he left EA....imagine it is the same in LA.

Geoff was awesome. He’ll have a great time running his own business team. He wasn’t permitted to do anything at Mattel under his mgt. Very unfortunate. Could have made an impact.

No loss ... Geoff was a complete waste of space, and was the butt of a million jokes on the 15th floor. He's gone on to be the CEO of a two-bit toy company. The jokes on them. The guys an a--hole.

Haha he went to another toy company? What a disaster for mattel. Didn't he have something in his contract to prevent this for at least 6-12 months? Maybe Ynon doesn't care anymore because he knows Mattel is done anyways.
