Let’s just say there are going to be a LOT of applications at various San Diego Starbucks locations in a few months. Just try to spell my name right on my cup, OK?

as in another post, the cream at the top will never be shaken. Only the silent ones who just want to work would be affected as VP hardly knows them - they are easy guinea pigs.

I can't confirm the numbers but I can tell you for sure that non sd offices would be several impacted along with sd.

Bay area offices are easy and expensive targets

In the end Qualcomm would have thousands less in headcounts in na.

Hurrah, we are finally going to have a proper layoff. This round will hurt the most and will help the most. Should have cut this deep three years ago.

can anyone confirm this rumor. as someone said 6500 sounds way too much. two out of 3 projects have to be canned to achieve this type of massive downsizing. it is the morale that gets affected as a company on top of 2-3 layoffs already this/last year. at this time, i am inclined to think this rumor is not true, but maybe a noah is in Q

6500 seems high.

It makes sense to cut high cost non-SD sites, especially the Bay area sites.

The last post is confirmed. We're going to downsize 35 to 40% and Qalcomm is now going to be reduced to minimal numbers. It's going to happen team, and you need to be ready. Speaking from a Bldg M perspective. New Ops in this Bldg and from a Sr. Director level.

High cost non SD sites will be severely cut. Talked to a source in real estate finance and was told they are investigating lease exits from non owned QC buildings.

This includes Austin, Bay area, Canada, etc.
