Trying to sneak it in while school's out and have it all done before school's even back in session

Considering the joke that public schools became when they started Common core, I can't say that this upsets me.
The Village of Hoffman Estates made a deal with the Devil and allowed him to get deferments since 2012 after the deal ended. They are the id--ts. Investing by default in a dying company. It's done all over but governmental bodies have no business giving businesses money directly or by default through tax breaks. Seems I remember a Motorola deal in Illinois that didn't work out so well either.
Don't give me the teacher/student sob story either. The teachers will still get paid and the students still won't see any of it, one way or the other. That's just the way it is.
The kicker of all this is in that time period, Sears distributed almost 20 times the amount in capital gains distributions what the school district was owed, which is around $300M. You can imagine how upset the school district was over that.
The extra sauce on this is that the a significant number of kids that Eddie is personally paying his lawyers and propaganda shills large amounts of money to screw over is by and large the kids of HE employees.
Sears got a tax break decades ago that ended in 2012. They've avoided paying their property taxes for 6 years, threatening to move out of the district, and won a deferment, threatening to move out of the district to some other state, until they declared bankruptcy. They're six years arrears in paying their property taxes, which by the way, is a crime. As for profitability of Sears? Lol, what crack are you smoking?
Maybe the should tax the families sending kids their instead of expecting revenue generating companies to foot there bill.
@dxi yeah, filed on new year's even, pending a hearing that sears requests to be held before school is even back in session, uh huh
I see the shills are working overtime on this one.
We've known about this for months, OP, when the district sued Sears about this.
OP....The filing doesn’t say that all. Sears is giving back a portion of tax credit.
Filing stipulates that 45% of tax (credit) be distributed to School District with 55% to be held pending a ruling by the court.
Yeah cause the teachers and kids are the ones working on this for the district. What a stupid comment.
