There is a link between Century Link and Level 3 (209.181.128.2 -> 4.69.150.202) that is dropping like 90%+ traffic between the West Coast and East Coast.

Well redundant ckts cost money and they have everything in automation and it fixes itself I have been told. Guess they forgot to tell the Network it's automated. This will get blamed on some poor tech. They are in a quiet period due to the holidays window so no work should have been going on with these types of ckts. Unless the contractors didn't get that notification :)
Funny that the last big outage also had a portion of it happen in Louisiana as well, this will get corrective action and a fine, corrective action will mean more routines that don't address the real cause and add more work to already short staffed locations.

Any updates on the outage?
Centurylink was fined $16 million in 2015 for a 6 hr outage in 2014...so I guess this next fine should be around $96 million?
