This Video sums it up -- Last Christmas for Sears

Seriously, if this is how busy you are on Christmas Eve, not a good sign for "go forward".

This store is local to me and actually typically quite busy. They closed all the other stores in the area so it’s big draw area tools got completely wiped out to the point of selling the display tool boxes, they’re still restocking it, they literally sold almost everything. I’d guess most of the business of this store is shoes, mensware, appliances, tools and lawn & garden. It also has good credit card numbers as a result of the appliance sales.

The video is a bit deceptive because they also forecast a snowstorm on Christmas Eve and the driving through that area was bad, for all you know it was filmed during the height of the snow.

The converted auto and tire shop was especially depressing

Sears is really going to have a hard time not bouncing checks unless banks or somebody open up for another big loan. A liquidator like Great American would have been the logical choice, but who will be the s---er now after watching how Sears burnt that bridge? Someone has to pony up the funds for Sears to do Chapter 7, right?
