Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Pic and DL at each other’s throats

DL requiring unpaid additional hours from PIC to get the job done. Even though the DL Rx has never put in the extra time he now requires of his PIC,. Come in Early and stay hours after partner arrives to catch up. Partner has to clean out system before leaving for the night. The RPH leaves nightly in tears but s---s up to DL because she doesn’t want to lose her job. What we see as managers doesn’t match what a DL thinks of their leadership! These people are stressed beyond belief and are gonna make a mistake and harm someone’s who!

Pharmacists are NOT salaried in CA. They are hourly and cannot clock in early or stay late. No OT and that means our pharmacists and technicians are doing the work in their 8 hour shift. Period. Everyone is stressed out to the max because the average volume for scripts in my market is 3000 - 5000 per week. For every single store but one. It’s insane and cvs won’t change a thing until someone dies. That is the sad reality.

It is sickening to know a manager making 25 dollars an hour will work 20 extra unpaid hours a week to help the Rx get their job done and the pricks in Rx making 80 an hour do nothing extra without requiring to be paid! Then we promote these arrogant a--holes to leaders! You only care about what you can take from the company! There is a divide between RX and FS because the people who care and work for peanuts have figured you out! Must if you work 30 hours a week and triple managers pay! Now let’s hear from you Rx angels how this is not true! You people need to change

We all know cvs does some shady stuff, rx pharmacists and tech working without breaks, paperwork pencil whipped and everything rushed due to terrible payroll. There are fines that would be given in any of our pharmacies.

Why doesn't someone make a call and blow the whistle to the govt agency that will make this company sh-- their pants?

The three letter agents that can fine this dump millions?

Just don’t do it and force them to fire you...when stuff doesn’t get done, being patient safety up, when they write you up for it, complain to the board

So if we are legally salaried how does it happen when I go to another to work a shift outside of my schedule I get paid $76/hr for every hour I work at that store on top of my normal 2 week average pay?

I do it every so often and get paid every time for the extra shift.

But if I have to attend a DL meeting or come in early or stay late I don't get any extra pay?

We are hourly....don't tell me how I get paid because I obviously know it. You are an exempt manager/stockboy clerk. You will never see any extra pay for extra work.

Pharmacist are legally salaried. They can work 100 hours a week or their base. Doesn’t mean **** to the law. S--- it up and learn to work hard like store managers
