CenturyLink/ Qwest/ US West all are dead, we are Level 3 but they don't want to rebrand yet to whatever the new name will be. No worries though in another 4 to 5 years someone else will buy the husk of what's left and the process will restart.
This group will get their Shares, place on a Board, Golden Parachute, and land in someone else's Executive Management tree.

you are the new leaders of the new lean machine , run and micromanage the few national ops techs to the ground. tell them exactly how long it should take to deliver , install , test , turn up , qualify, 100 gig channel switch systems, Chromatic dispersion , polarization mode, Fiber optic characterization , cone of acceptance , end to end Dbm loss , IP protocol, mapping , redline OPS 131, or Kick those lazy over qualified ,overworked Field ops tech to the Curb ! YEAH ! bonus my eye !

Actually, they are transforming the company so it can compete and survive. 5G is real and coming. CTL must become lean and able to react and anticipate. I have been around 40 years and the business and industry has changed over the years. Every paycheck I received has always cashed and my insurance was there when I needed it. I am grateful to have worked here for 40 years. This isn’t your mother’s phone company. But, I like many am ready to let the next gen take over. So I would welcome a VSPP ..... Merry Christmas.
