@1ytj-- except most of the expired food and meds are Smart Sense brand. Had some cookies come in a week ago that expired in 2017

No, it doesn't. A small portion of products accidentally staying on the shelf too long is very different from sending products to the store that are already YEARS too old when they arrive.

no biggie, this happens at other retailers also. The general rule is, if it looks bad or smells bad, don't eat it.

Sale of Expired OTC products are highly illegal. CVS and others have gotten into a whole heap of trouble for that.
Nobody is going to get sick from slightly expired OTC products. Cookies might give you a tummy ache though (but you can use some expired Smart Sense tums to fix that)
