True or False? Heard many rumors, but not on this site.

Today heard from a fleet driver they are offering them buyouts, 20 years or more. His belief is that it will be Drivers, DC, then stores. No proof just based on what is going on in his awareness circles here in CA.

If you're offered a buyout, take it. You're already on the hit list and trying to wait it out means you'll get cut -- if not this time, then next time -- and the severance package on't be as good.

Just this morning heard rumor about buyout for long-term Associates of 25 years or more. If true, knowing Walmart, it will be stingy, so get your calculators out, folks. However, you can't put a price on the wear and tear on the body and mind (STRESS!), so i'll just have to wait and see. This is my 28th Christmas at Walmart, and I can say without a doubt, the WORST ever, in terms of inadequate staffing storewide, but particularly Apparel and Cashiers; unreasonable workloads and responsibilities; and stress levels. I'm in a very busy Supercenter, and just for example, the past 8 weeks there have been just 2 of us on Sundays from 5-10pm to take care of all of Apparel--sort, hang, and put away mountainous returns, zone, and run Fitting Room/phones (can't get anyone to answer calls!) plus take care of Jewelry counter. Sheer insanity!

I am hearing that it's associates 20 years or more. But some are saying 10 years or more. Who knows?

How do you know if your are a low performing associate? I have been with Walmart a little over 7 months, and I have not had a review or anything? We will see in January 2019.

The Rank & Yank evaluation process in full effect! In other words, you need to kiss up to your manager daily and agree with every stupid idea that leadership comes up with or you'll get that black mark on your record and then rated low for your termination.

That 60 days is just the WARN Act mandated by the Federal government.

I’ve heard rumors of a 60 day payout for low performing associates/ managers. Guess we will see in January.
