Something is wrong with our picture! New manager already took 2 weeks vacation and has only been on the job 4 months. Also never works over 40 hrs. Much have gotten a pretty good package deal!!
With no asm, no text managers, who runs the store when the manager needs time Off (sick, vacation, etc.) ?
I am newer and only get 2 weeks off and already struggle to cover when I need a day off, as it is just my asm, myself, and pt employees , mostly students.
To those of you who heard this rumor what does the company plan on doing with the current ASM’s?? Are they just going to be laid off or will they be converted into team leads and/or sales associates?
I feel like this is a constant rumor. They have eliminated this position and brought it back so many times under different names. Ops Manager, Dept Manager, Lead, and ASM, too. Our ASM has been laid off and rehired 3 times.
Yep, heard that also. Not recalling the source though. ASM's are not being replaced when vacancy occur, so sounds about right! Dump more on mgrs or assign the work to staff with no additional compensation. Follett way.
