Chris is a good guy. He's better off out of that mess. The bigger issue for security is the remaining EDSer dead weight. Those people have zero idea what they are doing. Just looking for the next big buzz word to "glom onto" for "synergy" like "HELION"

Moyer somehow ended up with Security but didn't really know Security.

Security should be a big sell for DXC, but it flounders along because of an absolute lack of understanding of what clients will want to buy.

Recently this is caused by the mindset of those in charge who still exist in the days of (HPE) Arcsight customers that needed someone to run Arcsight for them because its too difficult to do themselves.

Those days are gone, there are no upsells of Arcsight for DXC.

Hopefully Mark can figure out what people do buy - because BT do sell a lot!

But I suspect he won't get a chance...

To the guy moaning about Moyer. Track back to EDS SD-Scicon / GM / Inland Revenue days. Post this, Moyer and the team who came over to EMEA won some of the biggest deals. They always looked after their people and their clients. Clients loved them. Thats why in EMEA we had huge contracts with Aviva, DWP, MoD, Shell, BP , MOJ, Phillips, Ahold , Zurich etc .... the list goes on. Some of the people working for Moyer went to the USA and helped win the big deals over there such as NMCI, AA , P&G etc. D--k Brown, Meg Whiteman and now Mike Lawrie didnt give a sh--. Thats why these clients have ditched DXC or are moving aware fast. If Moyer moves to a rival I can see that rival picking up the business DXC has lost as industry and clients like the guy. He is a huge loss to DXC. But DXC is a nickel and dime outfit now, so good luck to him. Mark Hughes has been brought in to sell security for Mickey. Good luck. Hey, I wouldnt buy anything from a guy associated with BT.

From the comments on The Register article:

Powerless

Mark Hughes might be capable and even have a track record, but he won't be allowed to do what is needed because DXC doesn't work like that.

Like so many before him, he'll draw up a plan and be told that he's not allowed to do it. The only plan possible is the one the CEO writes for himself.

Mark's only job is to carry the blame when it goes wrong, which could be as soon as 2 quarters from his start date.

Sorry Mark, you made a big mistake coming to DXC.
