Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Hedging Risk

How are you hedging your bets? You, just like me, work for Sears and you know that it’s both possible and likely that you will be laid off fairly soon. I wanted to see if we are proactively looking for jobs, or maybe some of us have started a small side business or got another part time job or something like this?

I am really interested to hear what my peers are doing to hedge the risk, this is a frank question, I am not trying to criticize or to push anyone in any directions – I just would like to know.

all you need is faith and prayer. OR become a pimp.

I put it all in Mid-Cap ETFs, hoping for a short squeeze.

Not yet. After years of non stop working, when it's my time, I plan on taking atleast a month or 2 off. Job markets great in our state. Should be fairly easy to step into a new career.
