You can't say Sears never gave you anything. Look you got a box. Think Oprah you get a box and you get a box and you and you get a box.

I did work for these people ! Brown boxes were used because it was all they had ! It was the mail boxes ! They pulled people , loaded the desk contents and escorted them out . You never worked for Sears obviously ! If you do , or did , tell me , I dont care ,,, I,m gone , will not return !

We have no police outside nor security inside the premises nor brown boxes in SHI. Indians are much more dignified. We save for a rainy day and in worst case scenario our parents are always ready to help and no they don't keep us in the basement.

That guy's (qbb) severe inability to use basic punctuation properly also makes me doubt he works at HE. Looks more like Sh--o me. Maybe SHI uses brown boxes and tries to hide them. (An apropos analogy, lol.)

First off, the boxes are WHITE, not BROWN. Second, layoffs at HE are NEVER discreet. Outside security agents at each entrance. WHITE boxes at the printer hubs, not "hidden" anywhere.

Meeting rooms blocked en masse for entire days with no details visible in scheduler. The poster who disputes that layoffs are happening doesn't know what they are talking about.

P.S. There IS no "business as usual" at Sears right now. Go pop another Xanax. We're not buying your BS.

I know of a dozen people already laid off today. It's said that up to 90% of Shop Your Way will be let go today.

If you have worked for Sears at the home office or STAC , you know about the brown boxes . They dont keep boxes in view however , I think the OP is a fake , trying to stir the pot , or be funny . Every day is business as usual at Sears . I have seen mass layoffs and it is fairly discrete . Do understand however , that the so called bank that is in the news as working a deal for a loan is a liquidation specialist . They have experts on divide and sell for best profit . great american capital is just one of many . The fact that the others like Patriarch will not touch it is a sign of desperation from the lenders , in my opinion . To my friends that still work for Sears , I hope for the best , but always have your own plan ,

I counted what must be hundreds and hundreds of prepared folders stacked in boxes stashed in a room here that are filled with the same "goodbye and good luck" separation packages I saw during the last major let-go. Those giant stacks of cardboard boxes are also a dead giveaway, along with tissue boxes for the inevitable tears. This will be enormous.

Going to be hundreds let go today. Lots of real security at all entrances, two Hoffman Estates police vehicles by the main entrance, stacks of brown boxes in every core, meeting rooms booked solid all day long. Unprecedented.
