Anyone else heard first hand?

meetings popping up on calendars today but so far it all looks like informing the survivors. still no org chart to speak of though so still feels up in the air
Some of the layoffs in Legal Tech Eagan were of senior software engineers. This is the first time I've heard of Eagan layoffs affecting engineering individual contributors. When Tom Glocer took over in 2008 and they had the massive outsourcing to Bangalore, the local management seemed to work really hard to avoid layoffs below manager level.
In Eagan... I'm sorry, "MSP".... we get turkeys for Thanksgiving. Retirees too so there's lots of people at the office that day. It's been that way since old West. They are like 13lb birds these days but it's about the nicest gesture the company still does for us here.
Hang on, what's this turkey voucher?
Yeah, this s---s big time, even for people not affected. Announcement in CMI that layoffs were done after today (or at least until 1/1/19 it would seem) and all CR moving to a different “channel” reporting to another group so the entire way CMI has been structured seems to pretty much be over at the end of the year. Also heard lots of field CMs let go today. Does anyone have more info?
Layoffs are happening in carrollton, if you dont get a role, your gone. The more layers announced, the more evidence that you fate is sealed and should accept it for what it is. Its sad. People who have paid their dues in sweat and tears replaced, just like that.
Well that's a legacy of West that we get the turkeys in Eagan, I'm sorry, MSP (like the airport!). Even retirees get them. But they took away our free milk years ago and reduced our free fruit to once a week. And before this, that was about the most bitter I felt about this company, that they took my free milk away claiming they were using the money for hurricane relief or something and then never brought it back.
Did Carrollton get layoffs?
At least you got a Turkey voucher, folks in Carrollton "dallas" dont even get that.....
It's not just them. I'm in legal tech and I know and work with several who got meetings today set up and then told they were being let go. Well, some had to wait around all day for the meeting, after they already found out in the morning from other people with the same meeting. A couple of project managers, a manager, and then half a dozen engineers/testers. No idea of the numbers in Eagan though because of this superb communication.
CM/CMI= Client Manager Inside
CR= Client Representative (Trainer)
HVA= High Value Account Client Manager
Client Managers mostly affected. Rumors swirled the past few weeks. At least everyone got their Turkey vouchers.
Anyone else hear anything about Corporate Investigative and Tracker layoffs?
“I don’t see why that matters if you don’t already know. It’s people who work in CMI in Eagan.”
B/c people are curious, also it might give them insight to layoffs in their locations. Also, we can’t google these internal acronyms.
Dude. Look up the abbreviations. CMI equals client management inside.
"look it up?"
we cant. leadership is doing this all behind smoke and mirrors
Look it up
I don’t see why that matters if you don’t already know. It’s people who work in CMI in Eagan.
What’s CMI, CM, CR and HVA??
Quite a few in CMI hitting specific areas. CR and HVA inside don’t seem to be affected but CM getting hit pretty hard. Also heard rumblings of field CMs getting nailed but can’t confirm this.
How many in CMI?
Layoffs are hitting Legal Tech in Eagan today. I know of Lead Engineers that are getting laid off. Also hearing of Engineers and Senior Engineers getting laid off in what I think is in the content ops area.
I can confirm CMI layoffs happening today
