Someone from the store posted a letter saying that they were not working on thanksgiving and about 20 people signed it

My lead still pressures us to open cards so we meet our goal (usually 20, around 30 on fridays and Saturday’s). We usually make goal. I’m not complaining, I usually get like 3-10 a day which amounts to 1-2 hours worth of extra pay but it does get awkward having 3 people waiting in line as I pressure a poor old Hispanic lady to open a credit card with 27% interest that she doesn’t need, all so she can save a measly 40 off her purchase (15 for the blue card). Keep in mind that we only have like 2 cashiers in the whole store. Oh well. I know a lady that consistently gets 12 a day on a 10-2 shift. I’ve heard she does shady stuff like telling customers they can only get the “spend 50 get 50 points” promotions if they open a card. I’ve also heard she opens cards without a photo ID (you can input a customers social in the ID field and it still works) which we’re obviously not supposed to do.
If you read the paper it clearly states that you will be paid $2/ hour premium pay for covered holidays EXCEPT thanksgiving and Christmas Day. You still get time and a half on there days. How many times must this be repeated. Please learn how to read before stating whatever comes in your head that sounds right
We don’t get paid time and a half any longer. You get $2 extra an hour to wor.
For people wondering where to find said thread, it’s in “segno expertise”.
"I've heard that no workers at all are showing up on Thanksgiving for any of the stores in Massachusetts."
That's because it's a Blue Law State and it's not allowed. But I guarantee they are there at Midnight on Friday.
Is 9-1 am to pm or pm to am
I've heard that no workers at all are showing up on Thanksgiving for any of the stores in Massachusetts.
We are open 9 to 1 because nobody will work but the people that really NEED the money
RETURNS and cancellations
If there weren't any customers last year on Thanksgiving last year, how can there be less this year?.....How can there be less than zero customers?
What are the hours for closing stores
My store has been in liquidation for at least 2 1/2 weeks now. There is really no point for liquidating stores to be open on Thanksgiving but the mall operators insist that we open. JcPenney's is opening at 2 p.m. that day. They are next in BK.
If corporate wants to pay everyone time and a half for Thanksgiving with barely any customers then let them. Stores in liquidation are even being told to be open. Though some are cutting time due to no employees to work and scared of call ins
Sounds like pebble is finally being allowed to be what it should have always been -- an employee forum.
Keriakos Kappos will be fired tomorrow
He’ll put the money in his pockets
Good for them! Let Eddie work the register.
They must have fired the administrators for Pebble to let these kind of post to continue. Too funny.
I saw that post. This kind of thing wouldn’t have been tolerated just a few months ago. There are more posts criticizing Eddie and complaining about delivery dates and appliance cancellations.
These guys (and gals) are true American heros!
Let's take back America & OUR holidays.
Everybody should post the same thing on Pebble about not working, make the company lose even more money. Call it Pay Back!!!! Right now sears God thing that they will be able to make sales Thanksgiving weekend, but no associates no ringing products. Well cashiers should all call out.
Maybe the 20 people will get laid off?
It won't matter. There weren't any customers last year and there will be even less this yesr
Only need 1 on each floor
Sears: Columbia, Maryland
What subforum was it in?
Any more info on this?
