This article covers a wide range of aspects regarding the RedHat acquisition and the general conditions at IBM these days, and I have to say that I agree with the part that says that the Red Hat acquisition was a desperate act from a company that is failing an all fronts and for a while is unable to produce any significant growth, rather than a part of some brilliant strategy for the future. This is a dangerous and an expensive move, and if IBM doesn’t play this right, the consequences could be devastating.
