DXC should go 'LEAN' like Wipro on service delivery managers

DXC should go 'LEAN' like Wipro on service delivery managers

Wipro realised that service delivery managers are adding Zero value in real terms to the company as well as customer .... the result .. removed all middle level managers and supervisors who were not doing technical work.

Service Delivery Managers are just extra baggage with no specific function. For each and every task, there is another team that does the work.

So finally they call themselves people managers and their work includes approving leave, timekeeping, c-gare--e smoking, and nothing else.

service delivery managers are required to keep the Run and Improve teams in check, otherwise they would screw up 1,000 times more than they do now.

Now if you had a strong R&I team that cared about helping the customer and not how many tickets they close and how fast that would be another story. But These days its about closing tickets, not foxing the root cause and helping the customer.

Does this mean that every DXC employee (except Mikey and his cronies) will need to complete Spartan's training? More BS that achieves nada.

Don't Xpect Competency!
