Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

Is this true?

LAM manager told me that Rubicon started taking some of SLB's contracts, but he was unaware of any great details.

Can anyone confirm?

Far too many 'supervisors who mere!y fill in reams of forms and contribute no manual value', too many exponents of Woo (lean6,E2E, HSE, 6 Sigma, Champions of God knows what etc., etc.), legions of frighteningly overpaid and underused management who contribute little value except to their PIPs and rock bottom morale......what do you expect. Unbelievably the next startlingly genius management initiative is to lever up prices as if we are running out of oil and they seem to be oblivious that here in the States there is a massive stockpile which will only increase. Harvard style genius at it's best especially when the last E2E debacle was so terrible they decide to repeat it as if it will get better. Even the usual Schlumberger cheerleadersand wide-eyed party faithful are quiet and thoughtful.

Is it too late to know about this, not only rubicon..alot of midsize company take contract away from slb. Due to over price quote, and most experience tech person just leave slb. Midsize offer same service and way cheaper than slb. Yeah, it not low price, not discount but way cheaper.
