Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

Who else is nervous about next week?

Just wondering if I am the only one still not believing we are done with layoffs for now...

No one in Eagan feels safe either. They've handled an already bad situation incredibly poorly.

Conference rooms in the HR area in Eagan are reserved for the entire week beginning 11/12.

Why Tuesday? Tuesday Nov 13 is the last day for a lot of people that got laid off end of October. Will they start notifying the next round then?

Agreed! The general consensus is that if it's not next week it will likely be the week after. Its been communicated to many people managers that layoffs will continue until the first week of December. We're not expecting one or two people here and there. The belief is that the company is taking the opportunity to completely reset things and set the structure up to its liking.

Done? Feels like they're just warming up. I'm in a medium sized (non Eagan) U.s. office and no one I've talked to feels safe yet. I know we go thru this every year, but this reorg feels different.
