Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

DXC was screwed by ....which team ...

DXC was screwed multiple times by the Security team (Identity management) based out of New Jersey. / other places in the USA

Most security breaches and identity theft has occurred because the are clueless people taking a fat salary.

They usually create work by using outdated tools that generates huge reports that are meaningless and try to impress the client.

But once the virus strikes these are the first peoples to go on leave and wash their hands off.

In short, they are pretending to be securing the system without securing anything

Clients have realized this and can't be fooled any longer... DXC is bleeding

I first thought they were a virus. They came as spam email that would not allow them to be deleted. Multiple times at trying to contact them was fruitless.

This company can't possibly be legitimate, a very shadowy company.

Don't like to receive there emails but they just keep coming.

These Identity management guys and Security Account Officers are nowhere on the scene when there is a security issue

Instead they blame the network team for the intrusion

If everything was network then what are they there for ?

I agree with the OP. When you sell security to the client, the isa lot involved eg Identity management, server security, network security, firewall management, process adherence, etc

DXC promises a lot in the beginning, but fails to deliver. The security account officers are never ever on the scene when there is a security related incident. Be it phishing, identity theft, hacking/ compromise of password, etc.

Basically most f the Identity management guys from the Identity management team as well as the account security officers are just a bunch of illiterates.

Most of these illiterates have graduated in animal husbandry.. what more can be expected ?

Most of the big accounts have realised this.. and the Identity Management team as well as Account Security Officers are to blame.

Mckinsey. The big silent machine. They create a mess and blame the lame DXC people. They are everywhere. Now ML, HR lady and all their leaders think they can’t run this company without Mckiney. Don’t kid yourself, Mckinsey runs Mikey and all of his cronies. If things are screwed up it’s them and they get more work. I wonder how much they scam out of DXC. After 6 months, I got out and now for a real leadership team with its own mind. Good luck.

Seems a strange team to pick on. What did they do to you?

If there were any breaches, that should be handled discreetly and those with a need to know would be subject to client-attorney priveledge.

Not sure about "Viruses" but most events were malware and people downloading and running executables on DXC laptops ("Don't they don't have a policy to stop you doing that?", "Yes, it's a paper one!") or opening unsolicited emails that made it through the exchange filters.

At least the CSC systems were killed off - JIVE (C3) and Alfresco (Docs). Leaked like seives and had connections dormant for years waiting to be re-opened.

The offshore grads employed are doing admin reports and are hoping to progress through their qualifications and become security specialists, but there is no training available and so report writing is where they will stay.

The real problem is the lack of basic processes, policy education and awareness to both management and staff.

Fat Salary? Ah, there lies the rub. Don't worry, I am sure they will soon be replaced by advanced AI cloud/hardware with 24/7 AI heuristic monitoring and reporting. Perhaps even a few flashing hi brite LED's to let you know it hasn't gone outside for a c-gare--e break.

Sounds a bit like a personal grudge from the OP to me.

Offshore vs onshore?

Who gets a fat salary at DXC other than Mikey?
