Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Unrealistic expectations in SNP

This is insane. The amount of members on our rosters to call in SNP each day is crazy. These members are the sickest of the sick and the needyest of the needy and we have to rush them to try to finish on time. Very unhealthy for us and the members. Back to not taking breaks and feeling awful all the time they really don’t care. They just keep on adding more and more difficult sick members to our roster and expect us to just be able to do whatever is given to us . It’s very unrealistic . they need to realize what they are doing is really poor management .

I always love the demand to perform better than the average. Do these ppl understand what an average is? Moving target, always up. Until ppl leave I guess. Craziness.

Amen, to the last poster it is the morphed role and anyone working with HAH will never know the end game, it seems like a sick version of "big brother."

My job is in UM. I started out dealing with 30 to 45 a day. Now they added coverage of others and so I do cover their roster too as well as my own. Then, they started adding other duties on top of that. I asked to work earlier in the morning to catch up, it worked! But some one from above said no to that. So now I am sweating furiously trying to catch up every day with more coming in. I am looking to leave.

KAroshi....we are all hourly now, so Humana is not karoshi-Ing.....but your trolling is a bit evident that you have quite An axe to grind, and you’re a bit out of the loop. We have not been salary for a long time, so your termination may have happened awhile ago, and your comments, while comical in one light, are also quite troubling and troublesome. You may need to consider an evaluation for your safety and the safety of those around you? Please get the help you need.

Left a year ago on my own accord. Saw the hand writing on the wall. Still have friends working at Humana and it has turned into nothing more than a metric sweat shop. It was one of the best jobs I ever had in the beginning great pay truelly helping members and now it is a robo call sweat shop. So sad all because of corporate greed.

Congrats on the healthier lives, you two. My friends that have quit also report the same, for what it is worth to people that are actively looking. I haven't run into anyone say they regret leaving or getting rif'd. Do what you love. Do what makes you happy. At the end, you and your health and your family is what matters.

Last poster I agree. I was laid off this year in April after going through multiple rounds of layoffs starting in 2017. I too lost 20lbs and was lucky enough to find a new job making more money. Lastly, I did not realize how much stress I was under during my tenure with this company. I’m thankful for where I am today!

I was laid off from HCCP in Aug 2017. Thought I would check in when I heard a friend was being laid off. Here's my two cents. Nope, it wont stop. It has been this way since Jan of 2017 at least and goes from program to program. It's more more more, then they start cutting people. Audits and increasing rosters are used to thin the herd and determine who wants to kill themselves for the job. I'm not trying to be a buzzkill. This is the truth that has played out for almost 2yrs over and over. Your choice is to s--- it up and keep going or get out now. Is your job really that great? Is it worth the stress? I was very happy for several years then it turned horrible. Glad I'm gone, even though I miss the money. Not even almost worth it. I lost 20lbs. after I left just from the stress being gone.

Curious as to how big everyone's rosters are? Mine is around 700

It’s not just SNP, it’s also hccp...and they told us they were going to be focusing on the more chronic members, that’s why stay healthy ended. This is the job. This is how it’s going to be. This is it. ME reviews that follow some guidelines none of us have the rules to, constant change, things that don’t make sense...not at all what our roles were when we started, but where it is now. It’s not going to go back, it’s going to be keeping along this way...so, accept, roll with it, do the best you can, or leave, realizing it’s not you, it’s them...some people aren’t made out to do the current role, but it’s not the original role, it’s the morphed role.
