The contractors in AZ are doing frame work, pots/dsl/ds0/ds1/ supposed to be doing routines for switch and office equip, but they are not getting done. Waiting for them to blame employees for a failure. T3-Fiber is a separate crew in AZ. They have the contractors working in largest office in state (PHX MN) and only 1 or 2 have a clue. The guy that worked there by himself had to take a downgrade to keep a job and another moved out of state. Have 6 contractors in Phx, 2 in Tucson, couple in Northern AZ and they are trying to hire more.

It's un-American, and the country gave them CAF welfare that was squandered, and not used 100% on the up and up, just as they intimidate employees into reporting expense as capital.

They will use in house people unless those people no longer exist to do the work, then comes contractors since we don't back fill, or train anymore, installation and or removal will go the way of contractors as the knowledge base is shown the door or retires. It's more is less thought process, more Contractors less in house employees and less payment of benefits to support them.

This won't end well, no ownership of the plant and escalated costs when Contractors know they are the only option eventually, then comes the failure's and no in house expertise to fix them in a pinch and a higher costs to call out more Contractors or fly people in that still have a understanding of the issues.

That's because they are telling the contractors in Nebraska that they don't do power/battery work. Even though it is in their job description. Must come from Level 3 culture 🤴🏼

Legacy CTL tech here, been changing batteries at L3 sites for a month, because the legacy L3 techs are supposedly too busy. But, talk to a L3 tech and they have no work.

Actually 15 techs from Phoenix metro went to Missouri 2 weeks ago. They asked for volunteers about a month ago. 3 week tour.
