Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

Refinitiv Updates

This is what I am hearing today: Affected locations with 'some' redundancies (not sure how big: Banagalore, NYC, Hong Kong (not sure about Taipei)... If you have contacts at any of the locations you may want to check if they are OK, as always be polite and considerate. I just wish they are more transparent about everything so we do not have to guess. The rumors at my location are just nuts, people are talking about a multitude of different redundancy paths, I am not even sure what to believe any more. Frankly, it's much worse than on this forum. Anyhow, keep your spirits up, I hope all of this will be over soon and we'll be done with all this stress that's driving everyone nuts.

About the number in Eagan, I thought there were only 400 employees that are located in Eagan. Are you saying there are actually 1200 Eagan based employees and 400 will be cut?

@yej around 47 or 46

Unless you are in HR and you can confirm its 60?

Some seniors were told that they get to keep their jobs for a few more months. Knowing that they do f****all. possibly waiting for their old boss to be confirmed for the region so that he can reshuffle them into unnecessary glorified roles where they will continue to pretend that they know what they are doing!

Hong Kong starts on Tue but just a few as everybody stuck at an annual summit (including DCraig). I heard 2 TAM, Wed see 2 from Biz Ops and 2 from Biz Planning. Thur and Fri will be bloody... All got invite from their boss for a "catch-up" (HR not in the invite but they are presence anyhow) got the pep talk then off you go, leave your laptop and employee card with the reception (access right cut off immediately)

I am also interested in the Eagan, MN comment. Can the person who wrote that clarify or shed light? My understanding is that there are only about 400 Refinitiv employees in Eagan anyway.

Hoboken got hit Tuesday!

Zero warning, in with HR , gone.

UK cuts due to start Monday 15th..

Appears to be no consultation with higher management as to who goes, it’s a numbers and salary game.

This company is heading one way, outsourced services and public cloud.

Not a fun place ..
