In just two months, my store has lost:
6 HA sales (we now have 3)
7 HI sales (we now have 2 including myself)
12 softlines support (we now have 5)
1 softlines zone supervisor (still open)
5 store support (we now have 3)
1 store support lead (still open)
4 OA's (still open)
These people all put in their notice, walked out or just stopped showing up.
And, today at the morning rally, our store manager announced to us that she will be leaving in two weeks. She wishes us "good luck", whatever that means.
The hardlines zone supervisor is the only manager after our store manager leaves and he is going to probably throw in the towel. I don't know what will happen then. It's going to be just him and one employee from softlines on key carrier duty doing all the opening and closing the store and doing all the MOD duties. I've been approached to be a key carrier but turned it down when I realized that I won't be getting paid extra. Nobody else has bit yet.
Out of about of dozen newly hired employees, only two are still with us, and they're both store support and the warehouse is a mess. Nothing is put away or stock located. They are constantly mixing up store stages and go over the five minutes very frequently. They haven't been trained properly.
Softlines has just one person who's been there longer than six months and she's only been there "almost" a year, so nobody knows how to do anything there either and they are constantly calling for help. Our adset is in terrible shape and ever since softlines lost their supervisor four months ago, they've been putting things wherever.
I guess the good thing is that nobody is below 25 hours except for the employees who are students.
Still waiting for a start date somewhere else so I can leave.
